My approach
I believe that there is much more to singing than the perfect technique. Experiencing your own voice flow is exciting and will nurture your mind, body and spirit! Wether you are a beginner or an advanced singer, I will help you find your unique sound and sing with confidence. I want you to understand your own instrument – the voice inside your body. Learning essential techniques will help you develop healthy vocal habits. As the voice is very closely connected to your emotions, I will also help you pour your feelings into the music and support you through any emotianal struggles holding you back.
Who are my singing lessons for?
Beginners
Especially at the beginning, we tend to sing with a lot of tension in the body. This can lead to a sore throat after singing and can damage your vocal cords in the long term. When you start your singing lessons with me, you will learn how to find a good placement for your voice. This will help you avoid vocal problems in the future. And the best part is: Your volume will increase and you will experience more freedom with your voice!
Advanced singers
As an experienced singer you may be looking for help preparing for a concert, recording session or an audition. Interpretation and emotional expression will be the main topics in your singing lessons. You may also have a specific technical difficulty that you want to overcome. Or you simply want to work with a professional to tackle your favourite songs.
Teenagers (15+)
As a teenager you are growing a lot. Your voice will likely be changing during puberty. It is normal to be experiencing a smaller range as your larynx and vocal folds are growing. You might even notice some gaps in your voice. The focus in your singing lessons will be on gaining awareness of your voice and range. As long as you are feeling comfortable and no strain at all you won’t do any harm. In fact, vocal training will help your body adjust to the changes. You will be setting an awesome base for your singing future.
Adults
Wether you want to sing for the experience or you have a certain goal in mind, it’s never too late to learn to sing! Our voice continues to develop and mature throughout life, so you can benefit from singing lessons at any age.
